Hoosiers Outrun Cancer will alter Saturday morning’s on-campus traffic.

Bloomington motorists will need to seek alternate driving routes this coming weekend, as the annual Hoosiers Outrun Cancer race and the Lotus World Music & Arts Festival will mandate selected street closures from Thursday morning through late Sunday afternoon.

The Lotus Festival, now in its 24th year, will require the lengthiest street closures, with detours in effect from Thursday morning to Sunday afternoon.

Notable exceptions to these closures include northbound Walnut Street and southbound College Avenue, both of which will be open to traffic throughout the festival. Two lanes of traffic will also be open on West 4th Street to allow access to the 4th & Walnut parking garage.

Hoosiers Outrun Cancer, meanwhile, will alter Saturday morning’s on-campus traffic. Major thoroughfares Indiana Avenue, Woodlawn Avenue, Fee Lane, and Jordan Avenue will see partial closures to facilitate the 5K walk and run. North Dunn Street will be closed between Gates 8 and 9 of the athletics complex as the route for the 1-mile course.
