The I-69 subcommittee will meet February 29th to discuss information INDOT will be providing regarding the highway's construction in Monroe County.
The Bloomington Monroe County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is scheduled to once again discuss I-69 at its February 24th meeting. However, according to MPO member Richard Martin, the group will most likely postpone the vote until a special March 9th meeting.
Martin says the MPO’s I-69 subcommittee, which he chairs, is waiting on information from the Indiana Department of Transportation to be delivered to his group before the full MPO votes on whether to include I-69 into its Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP).
The subcommittee is holding a meeting February 29th to discuss the information INDOT will be providing regarding sections four and five of I-69.
The MPO will have a regular meeting this Friday to discuss non-I-69 related business. Martin says no public comment on I-69 will be taken at the meeting. The next time the MPO will take public comment on I-69 will be the March 9th meeting. No public comment is taken at subcommittee hearings, as no voting occurs.
