A Bloomington man faces preliminary murder charges in connection with the death of his wife last Thursday. Indiana State Police arrested Ronald Lewis as he was released from Bloomington Hospital Monday where he had been since he was found with a gunshot wound to the head.
Public information officer with the Indiana State Police Curt Durnil says that the family of Laura Lewis contacted security personnel to check on her. Durnil says the security company then contacted the police.
Durnil says police then entered the home and found both Ronald and Laura Lewis. An autopsy showed Laura Lewis died from multiple gunshot wounds. Investigators have ruled her death a homicide. Both Ronald and Laura Lewis had outstanding arrest warrants on identity theft charges in Clark County.
