A Bloomington man is in custody after wounding another man with a knife. Police captain Joe Qualters says officers responded to the 3200 block of South Walnut Springs Drive around 7:20 p.m. Wednesday in response to aggravated battery reports. Qualters says 51-year-old Donald G. Skelton grabbed the 44-year-old victim around the neck while holding a knife to his throat after a verbal disagreement. Qualters says the victim initially suffered a stab wound to the hand.
Skelton faces charges of confinement with a deadly weapon, battery with a deadly weapon resulting in injury, criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon and battery. April D. Lepine was also arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Hendricks County. Qualters says all the individuals present had been drinking heavily.
