Two Bloomington precincts have failed to comply with election codes. The specific precincts have not been identified.

Two Bloomington voting precincts failed to comply with election code when they failed to count the totals at their designated polling locations.

The precincts failed to complete the first official count of the Bloomington City Council election votes at the required precinct location. They instead brought the ballots directly to the polling location at the justice building.

The County clerk says no one is currently contesting the election procedure, although it could present problems in the future.

Bloomington is counting all votes by hand because the electronic equipment was not up to code. The Monroe County clerk’s office says the county will have electronic counting equipment for the next elections. The County Election Board will need to choose which kind of equipment they will use.
