The Bloomington City Council will consider again tonight whether to keep speed cushions on West 3rd Street in the Prospect Hill Neighborhood. The council heard public comment at its meeting last week.
Much of the discussion centered around whether existing speed cushions on the street are reducing driver’s speeds and if they are necessary. A number of residents spoke during the public comment period and complained of loud noise and dangerous speeders.
The council meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. If the City Council votes to keep the speed cushions it will cost as much as $10,000 to have them permanently installed
