Blowing snow and cold temperatures have the National Weather Services calling for a Winter Weather Advisory from 4 AM to 1 PM Tuesday.
Snow will begin later tonight and spread through central Indiana into the morning rush hour. Wind will begin to pick up in speed and will produce wind gusts 25 to 30 MPH. This will cause any snow that has fallen or is falling creating hazardous travel conditions. A cold airmass will arrive on Tuesday night as temperatures fall to near zero… and wind chill values less than 10 degrees below zero.
Another cold front promises to bring the coldest air seen in quite some time to the area Wednesday night into Thursday. This front will also bring a period of light snow to parts of the area Wednesday before bitterly cold temperatures arrive Wednesday night. Wind chills may drop into the minus 15 to minus 25 range by Thursday. Air temperatures are expected to drop to below zero by Thursday afternoon through Thursday night.
