Bennett is talking to parents, teachers, and administration and his education plan that he says will improve the school system.
State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Bennett is holding forums with parent teacher associations around the state to talk about a new educational growth model. This program will allow parents to view their child’s growth trajectory and that of their child’s teacher all via the internet. Bennett says these discussions are extremely important, and parents, teachers, and administration must all attend in order to improve the school system.
“There has not been a time in our state’s history where the discussion and the debate about improving educational quality has been greater. And we believe that it is imperative that parents, teachers, school administrators, engage in the debate.”
Bennett says by hosting these forums the Department of Education will be able to engage parents in the debate and change the way their children are being taught.
