Bartholomew County Judge Orders Body To be Exhumed

A judge in Bartholomew County ordered for a body to be exhumed and an autopsy performed.

A Bartholomew County judge is ordering a man’s body to be exhumed for an autopsy. Cary Owsley died earlier this year and the Bartholomew County coroner ruled the death a suicide. But Owsley’s sister has been questioning that ruling since his death.

A Bartholomew County Circuit Judge ruled Wednesday that Owsley‘s body will be exhumed for an autopsy. Three experts will then present their findings into how Owsley died.

Owsley’s family says he could not have inflicted the gunshot wound found on the left side of his body because he was left-handed.

They also say he was planning to leave his wife. His wife has been fighting to keep Owsley’s body from being exhumed.
