For Bare Feet's manufacturing plant burned down and the company has decided to move its business to Martinsville.
Bare Feet sock manufacturer has decided to move to Martinsville from Brown County. Bare Feet Originals suffered a fire at their Helmsburg factory, and will move into the former Harman-Becker plant, a manufacturer of automotive speakers that shut down in 2008.
Martinsville Mayor Phil Decard says he offered the vacant Harman-Becker plant and after visiting the building, Bare Feet accepted. They considered locations in Edinburg, Columbus, and Bloomington before choosing Martinsville.
