Amazon.com has announced plans to open an approximately 900,000-square-foot distribution center in Indianapolis. The company says they will hire several hundred full-time and seasonal workers this year.
The new facility will be amazon’s third in Indiana, joining centers in Whitestown and Plainfield. Amazon is currently recruiting candidates for jobs at the Indianapolis facility.
Gerry Dick with “Inside Indiana Business” says tax breaks are aiding amazon‘s expansion. He says the general assembly’s reduction of corporate taxes will be good for Indiana economically.
