The deadline for open enrollment in the Affordable Care Act is March 31.

The deadline to sign up for Obamacare is quickly approaching, as March 31st is the final day of open enrollment for eligibility to take effect in 2014.

Pam Humes is director of Covering Kids and Families Central Indiana, and she says the next signup period won’t begin until Nov. 15th to be covered for 2015.

Humes says some 400,000 Hoosiers are eligible for coverage and her organization has been busier signing up people since January, and it’s not just low income people who should sign up for coverage.

“The demographics range from, low income folks to people who are not in the low income category but maybe never felt the need to have health insurance, so we can help anyone,” Humes said.

Humes says her group is hosting community sign up fairs throughout the month for those who still need to sign up.
