The Bloomington community is continuing to remember the life of Jigme Norbu who was killed Monday night during a peace walk in Florida.
A 49-day prayer schedule is planned in honor of the late Jigme Norbu. Norbu was struck and killed participating in a walk in Florida to raise awareness about the plight of Tibet under Chinese occupation. Norbu was the youngest son of Thubten J. Norbu, Eldest brother of the Dalai Lama of Tibet and founder of the Bloomington Tibetan Cultural Center. The community is invited to participate in the daily prayers; they’re scheduled at three o’clock daily at the Tibetan Cultural Center.
