Jackson County law enforcement have identified the victim of a car accident that occurred Monday. Deputy Sheriff Adam Nicholson says 19-year-old Brownstown resident David Ball was headed west on State Road 256 approaching County Road 950 East when he left the south side of the roadway and hit a tree. Nicholson says the vehicle caught fire, and Ball was unable to escape. Nicholson says an autopsy was done on the victim Tuesday.
Nicholson says Indiana State Police are reconstructing the scene of the accident. He says there is a possibility more than one car could have been involved, but police don’t know for sure at this time.
