15 Year Old Struck By Boat Propeller At Cataract Lake

Cataract Lake lies just south of I-70 between Greencastle and Spencer.

A 15-year-old Indianapolis boy suffered serious injuries Tuesday in a boating accident on Cagles Mill Lake, also known as Cataract Lake.

The 15 year old was struck by the motor’s propeller, receiving several serious lacerations to his stomach. He was taken by helicopter to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Conservation Offices say two 15 year old boys were on an inner tube being pulled by the boat when it suddenly turned toward them. Only one of the boys was injured.
