To let the public vote on new taxing powers or not -- that is the question.
Mayor Goodnight differs with Terre Haute Mayor Duke Bennett on the need for referenda to determine how to use any new taxing authority cities might get from the Indiana General Assembly this session (and it’s a lesson in colonial American government terms, too!).
Also, the mayor says he’s sad to see the head of the Greater Kokomo Economic Development Alliance go, but believes their partnership may have left the city with a self-sustaining reaction of growth.
