This week Fred Armstrong, the mayor of Columbus, is on a trade mission to China and Jeff Armstrong of the Planning Commission takes his place.
Armstrong explains the functions and challenges of the Planning Commission. The Planning Commission is a policy board shared by The city of Columbus and Bartholomew County. This provides excellent coordination and efficiency between the city and county planning functions. Armstrong also discusses current efforts to make budget cuts in the department.
