Columbus Mayor Fred Armstrong

Columbus Mayor Fred Armstrong says that the Cummins Corporation’s decision to locate their world headquarters in the Columbus downtown area and focus their intellectual and manufacturing centers in Columbus will generate 500 new high paying jobs. These new jobs will generate $175 million in local spendable income each year over the coming years.

Armstrong also discusses the governor’s 1-2-3 property tax structure, saying that it will result in almost $2.8 million in lost property tax revenue in the city budget. This will require across-the-board budget cuts.
