A look at two new releases that feature Celtic music performed on an unlikely instrument, the viola da gamba. First, we’ll listen to Jordi Savall’s Alia Vox label recording entitled “The Celtic Viol.” Then, we’ll move on to a similarly-titled Golden Apple release by American gambist Tina Chancey.
