Two viols, two bows, some music. I took this idea from some other guy's lute pegbox photo. The instruments are a rather large treble (40cm string length) and a small tenor(50cm SL, more on an alt-tenor). Assorted facsimiles: Playford, Marini, Petrucci.

For those of you looking for something early-music related this summer, you’ll be happy to know there are festivals going on all across the country, and around the world. Although the banner festival in Boston has already started, there’s still plenty to do and listen to and learn.
