In the summer of 2011, I visited Bill Larkin's garden in Loogootee, Indiana, and saw 30,000 colorful annuals in bloom.
Plants go in and out of fashion, and Coleus seems to be making a fashion comeback.
And so we snip away with our shears - cutting off what is now brown and dreary - but musing about the flowers of summer.
