Deciduous Shrubs | Focus on Flowers

Fall is a good time to plant new shrubs that will improve the winter landscape. Some shrub genera include both evergreen and deciduous species.

If you have shady areas in your garden you may like to try growing a shrub that is known as Japanese Kerria, a deciduous shrub for all seasons.

I have Iteas in both sun and shade in my Midwest garden, and it is one of the few shrubs that will flower in shade.
