Of the many lessons to take away from Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, one is that it is very important to get your news from multiple sources. After Romeo is exiled from Verona, he learns of Juliet's death from his servant. Instead of verifying this information, Romeo assumes that his true love is certainly dead. On his way to Juliet's tomb, he misses an important note from Friar Laurence. The note says that Juliet has taken a potion from Friar Lawrence to make her seem dead, so that the lovers can later be reunited. But, being misinformed, Romeo kills himself with a poisonous concoction he also purchased from an apothecary.
