Ether Game

The Name Game

Ether Game asks, "can you name this tune? He’s just an ordinary man…"

This story about a school teacher gone abroad has been consistently popular, despite questions about its accuracy. Numerous facts have been questioned about the life depicted in this musical. Its film version was even banned in one country on grounds of historical and cultural distortions; a country that in 1949 would have its own identity crisis resolved with a name change.
