Indiana Secretary of State Todd Rokita is going to Washington.

His victory in the 4th Congressional District means Republican retain control of the seat.

He says his campaign was an experiment on whether voters wanted to have a serious discussion on the issues facing the nation.

Rokita took 70% of the vote over Democrat David Sanders and Libertarian John Duncan.

Incumbent Congressman Steve Buyer announced earlier this year he would not seek re-election.
