Elected as Superintendent of Public Instruction in 2008
Working closely with Governor Mitch Daniels and the Indiana General Assembly, Tony led efforts to improve Indiana’s education system. The most important changes focused on ensuring that every classroom in Indiana has an effective teacher and that students master the most fundamental skills necessary for future success in life.
