- Fourth generation resident of West Lafayette
- Currently is a Partner in Main Street Management, LLC and serves as it’s President
- After twice being elected as Councilor-At-Large to the West Lafayette City Council, Randy was elected to the Indiana General Assembly in November, 2008
- Currently serves on both the Ways and Means Committee as well as the Government and Regulatory Reform Committee
- He has served in various capacities with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Wabash Valley, United Way of Greater Lafayette, the Hills and Dales Neighborhood Association, the National Football Foundation-Northwest Indiana Chapter, the Wabash Valley Trust for Historic Preservation, and Covenant Presbyterian Church
