Middle Way House’s mission is to end violence, both structural and interpersonal, in the lives of women and children by meeting the specific housing, employment, and service needs of abused women and their children, reaching out to the general public to raise awareness of violence against women, and providing information and encouraging sensitive and appropriate responses to victims of violence. Middle Way House presents programming, such as crisis intervention, housing, support services, legal help, and child care, designed to enhance peoples’ capacity to engage constructively with others, solve problems and resolve conflicts without recourse to violence, and establish and maintain intimate relationships based on equality.
