“We do mediation, which is actually sitting two people down and talking out their conflicts and resolving their conflict.” – Susan Burton, Executive Director
The Community Justice and Mediation Center, CJAM, offers mediation and training to those in need. Their mission is to promote a civil and just community through mediation, education and restorative justice.
Community and small-claims mediation are available through CJAM. The types of conflict vary. Executive Director Susan Burton says, “It could be just a neighbor-neighbor conflict or a landlord tenant conflict.”
CJAM offers mediation training to business and small groups. They also offer a 32 hour basic mediation training. Information on CJAM’s Restorative Justice Practitioner Training is available on their website.
