Indiana's Lew Wallace, stories, songs and s'mores


Unitarian Universalist Church, 2120 N. Fee Lane, Bloomington, IN 47408

Sunday February 26 at 7 pm

Music reflecting on the life of Indiana’s General, stateman and author Lew Wallace with twenty-first century pieces by Steven Stucky, Daniel Brinsmead and  Jeffrey Van,  a song about Billy the Kid by Billy Joel, Mozart’s rondo a la turka, music from the film “BenHur” a song of vengeance from the Baroque era by Barbara Strozzi ….”Back Home Again in Indiana” and s’mores!

 

George Walker

While completing an M.A.T. degree in English at Indiana University, George Walker began announcing for WFIU in 1967. Along with regularly hosting classical music shows, he interviews artists and reviews plays and operas.
