"Toast," "Planting," and "Getting Up" from Tim Kennedy's "Perry Four."

Painter Tim Kennedy is just closing in on a decade as a full-time resident of Indiana. A senior lecturer in IU’s Hope School of Fine Arts and the recipient of numerous grants from the Indiana Arts Commission, Kennedy is currently exhibiting his latest paintings titled “Perry Four” at the First Street Gallery in New York City. WFIU’s Yaël Ksander spoke with Kennedy about his new paintings, and the balance between abstraction and figuration.
