The Shawnee Theater puts on a melodrama, complete with a hearty hero, a heart-throbbing heroine and a heartless villain.
It's comedy, so when some one says "From here on its clear sailing," you know that the sailing will be anything but clear.
The music and lyrics do a nice job of evoking a not especially memorable musical era.
