Episode 86 – Recommendations With James Paasche

On this week’s episode we’re doing recommendations and starting a new way of getting the episodes to our viewers. We’re filming our episodes now and posting excerpts on YouTube. Check out our channel, and subscribe to our videos! But the full episode will still always be posted here on wfiu.org. Let us know what you think of the videos on our Facebook page or Twitter feed, listed below.

We start out with What Have You Seen Lately, and Jason is checking out a long form documentary, while Andy is checking out some Joe Swanberg movies.

We then bring back an old segment, where Andy brings in unwatched DVDs from his collection, and Jason chooses one for him to watch. Find out what Andy brought, and what Jason chose for him.

We then get into the Recommendations game. The Recommendations game is when we propose a category, and everyone has to name a movie in that category. The categories we used were:

A movie with an actor playing a character different from the type he normally played
A movie from a famous director that is somewhat forgotten
A Coppola movie that’s not a Godfather (Any Coppola counts)
A movie with an actor from the Star Wars prequels
A movie with an amazing title

Enjoy the episode and let us know what you think of the new video format!
