Episode 51 - Exploring The Herrmann And Hitchcock Series With Professor James Naremore

On this week's episode we sit down with Professor James Naremore to talk about the upcoming Herrmann and Hitchcock series at the IU Cinema. The series runs throughout the semester and we cover all of the films as well as the careers of Herrmann and Hitchcock.

In What Have You Seen Lately, we have an extensive discussion about Drive, the new Ryan Gosling film which we got to see in a sneak preview at the Cinema. We all loved the film and take a close look at it hopefully without giving away too many details.

We also cover the upcoming Pedro Costa series. Professor Naremore is a fan of Costa's work and gives his personal recommendations for films in the series.

We then cover Herrmann and Hitchcock. Professor Naremore has a lot to say about all of the films in the series and gives us a good overview of why Hitchcock is such an important director, and why Herrmann is such an important composer.

Listen in and see where the conversation goes.
