A Place For Film: Angelo Pizzo

Episode 39: The Screenwriting Process, With Angelo Pizzo

On this week's episode we invite back screenwriter Angelo Pizzo, writer of Hoosiers and Rudy, to discuss his screenwriting process. We had Angelo on back in April as part of the Cinema's Hoosiers and Rudy screenings, and we were really thrilled to have him on for a second time.

And because it's his second time on the podcast, we have Angelo list his five favorite movies of all time. Find out how many he actually listed in the episode.

We talk to Angelo about how he goes about writing a screenplay, and we veer off into book chat for a bit, talking about some of his favorite authors.

He also tells us the detailed story of his current project, writing a script for Adam Sandler's Happy Madison production company. The topic might surprise you.

Finally, Angelo treats us to the story of Goodfellas 2. That's not a joke, it does exist, and you'll get the whole story in this episode.
