The Avett Brothers — a band from North Carolina whose sound blends elements of bluegrass, country, folk, and rock — will be releasing a new album, Magpie and the Dandelion, this fall, and the band has granted NPR Music listeners the first opportunity to sample the record.

The first single, Another Is Waiting, premieres here Thursday, August 8, at 8 a.m. This is one of a series of exclusive previews of music in a variety of genres from WFIU and NPR Music.
