Monika Herzig’s idea of “Peace on Earth”

Jazz pianist Monika Herzig has just released her newest CD Peace on Earth, with a overt holiday flavor. WFIU’s David Brent Johson spoke to this resident of south central Indiana about her music, what Christmas means to her, and what is was like adjusting to the American holiday traditions.

Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, David Brent Johnson moved to Bloomington in 1991. He is an alumnus of Indiana University, and began working with WFIU in 2002. Currently, David serves as jazz producer and systems coordinator at the station. His interests include literature, history, music, writing, and movies.
