Astronomers have proposed two theories to explain the mysterious origin of blue stragglers.
Scientists from Johns Hopkins gathered detailed data measuring light from over two hundred thousand galaxies, some of which are up to several billion light years away from earth.
Scientists explain the inevitable collision by speculating that the Milky Way and Andromeda galaxies are a bound pair, meaning that they are in orbit around each other.
