Diana Krall's new album, Quiet Nights, featured on this week's Afterglow.

New releases from Diana Krall and Tierney Sutton lead the way this week on Afterglow, as well as music from new anthologies by Cassandra Wilson (a collection of her “new standards” covers for Blue Note, including songs written by Van Morrison and Jimmy Webb) and a 60th-anniversary celebration of classic-jazz label Prestige Records that features ballads by John Coltrane and Kenny Burrell, James Moody and Kenny Dorham.

Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, David Brent Johnson moved to Bloomington in 1991. He is an alumnus of Indiana University, and began working with WFIU in 2002.
