Ask the Mayor, WFIU’s weekly public affairs program that lets you phone in, email, or Tweet questions to local mayors, is back on the road!
This time out, we’re headed to Terre Haute. We will be joined for an hour by Mayor Duke Bennett on Monday, September 10, at 5:30 at the Grand Traverse Pie Company … and you’re invited to join us there, bring your questions and comments, and Ask the Mayor in person!
It’s a town hall meeting in a fun, lively atmosphere. We’ll be broadcasting the best half-hour of the conversation on Wednesday the 12th at the program’s usual time of noon.
Also, three weeks later, on October 1, we’ll be inviting listeners to chat in person with Mayor Sue Murray at a public forum in Greencastle, the newest town in the Ask the Mayor rotation. Stay close to your email, our website, and our airwaves for more details about this event.
New to Ask the Mayor? The show focuses on issues facing communities in central Indiana. Everything from potholes to tax policy gets covered in 30-minute interviews, usually broadcast live, with the mayors of Terre Haute, Greencastle, Kokomo, and Bloomington.
