Arts Blogger Interns (Continuous Opening)
WFIU Public Radio (103.7fm) is looking for bloggers to jumpstart our new WFIU Arts Blog. We are looking for people to inform readers about the arts in Indiana and beyond.
WFIU is looking for bloggers to write about the following topics:
- Visual arts
Bloggers should be knowledgeable in their topic area. Bloggers should keep up with national and art news and trends (e.g. literary controversies, the rise of a prima ballerina, a famous conductor’s last concert, etc), as well as the local arts scene. Blog content will be culled from others news sites and reposted on the WFIU Arts blog. The WFIU arts blog will keep people up to date with the worlds of theater/dance/art/etc. without providing opinion. For examples, see other WFIU blogs such as Earth Eats, amomentofscience.org, muslimvoices.org, and Harmonia.
Arts bloggers may also have the opportunity to work with our program Artworks, which will be introducing “Amplifier,” a weekly radio conversation and web post covering the indie/rock/pop/folk music live performance scene in south-central Indiana. Interns would write weekly web posts, create an events calendar of relevant performances, collect musical selections, and potentially serve as an on-air contributor. Interested applicants should demonstrate an interest in and knowledge of the local and regional live music scene and be able to work independently and quickly.
Please send resume, cover letter, and a short writing sample (2-5 pages) to Yael Ksander, email@example.com.
